Hello everyone, I was wondering when NIS Europe will open its own website ?
Any ideas ?

NIS Europe only exists as brand, not a company to be honest.

Everything is handled by NISA as of this time so I wouldn't expect a NIS Europe website until the day that it relocates and starts up in Europe.

I'd say it's pretty cool ( ) to have a Europe section on the NISA site, isn't that enough... :?

Well you see, it's in order to know exactly when will a game be released or stuff like that.

On recent games such as Prinny CIRBTH, there is the label "NIS Europe" so I guess they have a european section ... however in this same game, the translation in french were horrible ! I would have liked to do them by myself ! The same thing for Disgaea 3 ... translations ruined it ... fortunately there were still the english voices but we couldn't change the language ... booooh ...
I wish they could be a little more serious about that ...

Well ... it was more like ... disappointing.
I think it would have been better to let the game in english ... or to take me in the team to do the correct translations ! ^^

Yea, why does Meristation always grade down because the game is in English? I checked the stats on Holy Invasion... which is now My Lord... and the language I think is listed as Castellan. Very patriotic. But, I think my fav Spanish sites are vandal, ultimagame, ramenparados... to name a few.

Well, bad notes...
Disgaea (PSP) 9/10
http://www.meristation.com/v3/des_anali ... 2bcd476141
Disgaea 2 (PSP and PS2) 8.5/10
http://www.meristation.com/v3/des_anali ... 12a7d92fdf
Atelier Iris 8.5/10
http://www.meristation.com/v3/des_anali ... 56c35b68ae

Anyway I think it´s fine get down the note of one game if don´t is released in the language of the country, if you are not able to understand the Story of the game you can´t enjoy it

Figure to play disgaea 4 in Japanese, that´s not fun because you cant understand the conversation´s and the story

*@ Posts about giving bad reviews for no translation*

So, is my country one of the few EU countries that has english class or something?

I mean, even the worst students from my year at english class can follow english cartoons and games.

Well, people in various European countries have different English skills.

People from the Netherlands are good most of the time. For my German countrymen I must say that many are not good. It´s even worse for France. Just look at the internet, most French posters on English boards have only very basic English skills.

For my part I don´t have a problem with English. But I do prefer a good German translation. I only play Square-Enix games in German because I find the translation superior to the English version. Especially the Dragon Quest games are even funnier and more charming in German.

I remember Secret of Mana 1 as English and German version... the English version was far superior.

It is a matter of which game and that France people are ignorant if it comes to English isn't new. They even use France for communication with airplanes.

English is the most basic and most used language and even if you do not speak it propperly reading up some words on the net will help you to learn more.

I wouldn't say it's the most basic, as it has a ridiculous number of exceptions to its own rules, and although it kind of used commonly internationally, that's simply because we're too lazy to learn any else's language, and I'm pretty sure it's not the most spoken language worldwide.

German was discussed back then for beeing the worlds language when they decided uppon one, that was due to beeing spoken and written alike.
However English atleats does not try to give almost everything a gender. If you say the nose in German you say "die Nase" and "die" clearly states that it is female while the mouth is "der Mund" and "der" clearly says it is male.

English of course has some contradictions, otherwise you would not have to learn it :P.
If it would be only beeing lazy well that would not work out well. You grow with your tasks, or said in another way, if you would be used to learning a second language you migth even find out that it suits you better then your own.
