What's this? Pokemon in my Disgaea?

I've had this idea of a Pokemon game using the battle and character building system from Disgaea and Phantom Brave.

Basically, you are a trainer and you can have 6 Pokemon out on the map total. Circular based attacking and movement (Phantom Brave) but the various Pokemon that you have are built custom (a la Disgaea 3 evility system).

Imagine a lvl 9999 Magikarp. Just imagine it. Okay, Random thought over.

Haha, this reminds me of the last time I played Pokémon...

"Okay, so which Pokémon should I reincarnate my Eevee in so it can learn better attacks to make up for Espeons poor pool? Oh that looks good, then I'll--- WAIT A MINUTE." (I... just got out of a Disgaea binge, don't stare at me like that, I had a stupid moment)

Its already broken! I saw a youtube video of someone killing a max level Venusaur with a level 1 rat. The rat had some ability that would allow it to randomly avoid taking damage.

Are you sure it's not just a FEAR Rattata? It's a well known strategy. It's fun to use too.

But not broken in the least. It's easily counterable, heck, you see a level 1 Rattata in the opposite team, you know what's coming. But it's good to make people who don't know about it freak out a bit. It's more like a novelty.

Only in a spin off title. I think the Pokemon battle system is pretty good already.
