Dangit Ronpaul 2 revolves around finding out who committed all the murders at the Republican Party's National Convention. The true mastermind is the Illuminati and the Reptilians. There. Game spoiled forever.

Just a friendly reminder about spoilers since Another Episode is being localized. Keep all potential or actually spoilers in spoiler tags and specify which game/event/character/etc... are being discussed on the outside of the spoiler.

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but anywayz.

Apparently, N4G posted an article from siliconera about DR on how to make a memorable villain. Main thing is that they used a picture there on N4G that's a flat-out spoiler.

Here's the link with the pic:

DR Major Spoilers

http://n4g.com/news/1722682/danganronpa-writer-talks-about-plot-twists-and-how-to-make-a-memorable-villain

And here's asking: Why. The. Hell. they used that particular pic? Everyone who'll check that they'll get to know who the villain is.

Getting spoiled from the comments here and there is one thing, but getting spoiled by the media like this is just stupid.

In my personal experience, there has not been a single instance where I experienced a work of fiction after having some details about it spoiled for me and thought, "Gee, I would've enjoyed that more if it hadn't been spoiled." If anything, spoilers heighten my anticipation for seeing how those things that have been "spoiled" are going to be executed within the work itself.

I believe that great writing and well-developed characters can never truly be spoiled, because hearing about great writing and well-developed characters from second-hand sources is entirely different from experiencing them directly. Plus, fiction is so derivative of the works that preceded it that you can pretty much predict the outcome of any story if you know the tropes of a particular genre well enough. Most of the time I "spoil" things for myself just by guessing at outcomes and being right 9/10 times. And the 1/10 times I'm wrong, it's because I considered two equally likely outcomes—one correct, one incorrect—and happened to choose the wrong one.

Also, DR1 first came out, what, almost five years ago? Odds are anyone who is interested in DR1 already knows Junko's role in the plot by this point, and anyone who isn't interested wouldn't care one way or the other, so why get worked up in the first place?
Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

That's a really bad line of reasoning. There are multiple reasons why someone who is (or even could be) interested in DR hasn't gotten around to it. There's honestly no reason to assume that there's some statute of limitations on spoilers.
Oh, and those links are a waste of space, as one study proves little. Furthermore, those articles focus entirely on one graph without even mentioning the methodology, which is kinda an important part. Try again when there's an attempt to replicate the results.
Some people just need to learn that their opinions are wrong

I don't care about spoilers. When I hear a spoiler, I don't go "Well now THAT'S ruined for me forever!" I go, "Boy, it's going to be a fun ride getting to that point!" I already know how Breaking Bad ends, but that's not gonna stop me from watching it one day and enjoying it. Heck, I had DR2 spoiled for me (the victims, murderers, and the last chapter twists), but I loved the game all the same.

While getting spoiled can suck sometimes, it's not all bad at times.

Heck, depending on what got spoiled, it can even enhance the first-time experience sometimes. Like because you know something happens or will be revealed, you can maybe pick up on certain details (like certain bits of symbolism, foreshadowing, etc) that lead up to it more easily if there are any.

Granted, you'd notice all that if you go through a second time anyway but, at least from my experiences, most people don't go through a piece of medium several times just to pick them up. Though I guess if you were someone who was actually interested in stuff like that, you'd do it one way or another anyway.
