Your kingdom is the mainheadquarter. Here you will buy/sell items, create new units/vehcicles, and prepare for battle.
In the beginning there is very little at your kingdom. Therefore, you will gradually expand to build the most awesome kingdom in the cosmos.

First create your characters by confining a soul into a object on the field.
Simply select a object on the ground and use the confine ability of Zetta to create a new character.

In Makai Kingdom facilities serve a impotant role in combat. Facilities can be used to store your units and item and dispatched durng combat.

If you create a merchant, you become able to shop for items. The stronger your merchant becomes the better the items you could buy.
|
Unlike your characters you will need a mecahnic to purchase upgrade items for your vehicles.
Instead of using money to make your purchase though, you will be using materials. |

During the game you can build new facilities by writing wishes in Zetta. Caution though, if you use a weak character to build a facility he/she might die.

When you create a new character you can give him/her a original name or go witht the default name. |

Characters sacraficed to build new facilities do not goto waste. You can reincarnate them by asking Zetta. Nothing goes to waste in the netherworld.
By the way characters that are reincarnated retain their old stats before they died. So if you reincarnate a witch into a warrior, that warrior will become capable of using magic.

In Makai Kingdom vehicles can be upgraded like the characters.
Vehicles do not powerup like characters with experience points. Instead they are modified by the professor. |

Every character you makehas his/her favorite weapon of choice. For instance warrior tend to use swords, but not a book as often. Of course you could always equipa book to a warrior, but he/she will not use it to its full potential.

Aside from the ordinary battle stages that appear during the story, there are randomly generated battle maps called free dungen. The free dungeon is Makai Kingdom's equivalent of Disgaea's item world. Players can access these dungeons anytime during the game to battle out with monster.
In order to access the free dungeon though, you will need certain amount of mana. You can gain mana by clearing battle stages. |
