In dungeons, you control your main character as you make your way to the exit.
Battles are fought in real time. Use various actions to take on the dungeon!
Fight your way using various skills, such as attack, heal, and status buffs.
A boss enemy is always at the back of the dungeon, and will unleash powerful attacks against you.
Beware of traps on the floor! They'll activate arrows or explosions when stepped on.
You can acquire various items inside treasure chests.
Depending on the dungeon, maybe you'll find lots of treasure chests!
◆Famous Japanese sites from the Sengoku Era!
The dungeons are based on Japan's Sengoku Era, and famous feudal lords appear in the game as souls.
【Osaka Castle】
A dungeon set in the premier castle of the Kansai region. You'll need to rely on your brawn to defeat the enemies, and your brain to navigate its labyrinthine corridors.
【Anegawa】
The first dungeon you tackle. To access the room that contains the exit, you must defeat the enemies guarding it.
【Mutsu】
A dungeon by the water. Deep inside the dungeon, there is a boss that has a connection to Masamune's regrets.
◆Laying in Wait
In dungeons, there are monsters and traps laying in wait for the main character.
Occasionally, you may need to fight an enormous Boss monster.
Observe their attack patterns and positioning to defeat it!
Umbrella Monster. It attacks by spinning around and slamming into you.
A giant monster that appears in snowy mountains. It can attack in all directions, making it very dangerous.
A dragon monster that attacks with its powerful breath. You'll fall victim to its breath if you attack it from the front.
A fire-breathing Yamato no Orochi. Attack it while also avoiding its flames.
A catfish-like boss, that attacks by shaking the ground. You can avoid it by jumping at the right moment.
An angel-like boss. Its attacks home in on the target's location.
Hunger trap. A sphere will appear to pursue the player, attempting to devour them with its mouth.
Blade trap. The blades spin along a set path. Try to avoid them by timing your movements.
◆Ran-geon
In addition to the main stages, Cladun Returns: This is Sengoku! has dungeons known as Ran-geons, where the floors and enemies are different every time you enter.
Enemies in Ran-geons are stronger than normal, but you may also acquire rare items and weapons with better titles.
There are 2 types of Ran-geons: Neo-geons and Tri-geons.
【Neo-geon】
Each floor of a Neo-geon has multiple gates, and you will advance through the dungeon by entering one of them.
Depending on the gate, various effects may occur. Some of these effects include enemies getting stronger, rare items dropping more often, and warping to another floor.
Explore each floor until you find the gate as you make your way to the 99th floor!
Whether you're collecting rare items or level-grinding will determine which gate you enter.
In Neo-geons, there will be boss monsters every 10 floors.
【Tri-geon】
Tri-geons consist of three types of Ran-geons: Normal, Chaos, and Heaven. Your goal is to reach the 99th floor while moving back and forth these three Ran-geons.
【Normal】
A normal Ran-geon where you fight normal enemies and obtain normal items.
【Chaos】
Items with titles are more common, but stronger enemies will appear.
【Heaven】
A Ran-geon that is like winning a jackpot, where you can obtain items with very good titles.
◆Extra Dungeon
In addition to Rangeons, there are extra dungeons that appear as you progress the story.
For every main story dungeon, there is also an EX dungeon. But the monsters in EX Dungeons are much more powerful.
Also, there are a total of 50 lord souls wandering these EX dungeons. These souls are released by beating the dungeon, allowing you to recruit these famous lords from the Sengoku Era as your comrades.
